Alteration| Convenience store with attached cat gas station| High Efficiency heat pump| Complete MEP system design

SAI provided complete MEP/FP engineering services for the renovation of an approximately 5,000-square-foot convenience store with an attached gasoline pump facility in Philadelphia.

The project included a high-efficiency heat pump HVAC system with dedicated zoning for the main sales area and back-of-house office spaces. The mechanical design also incorporated the requirements of a walk-in freezer and cooler serving the store’s grocery and milk product areas.

The plumbing system was designed to meet Philadelphia code requirements while accommodating new fixtures, drainage infrastructure, and the specialized needs of the freezer and cooler areas.

SAI also designed new electrical and fire alarm systems to support the complete renovation, including power requirements for refrigeration equipment and the infrastructure serving the attached gas station facility.

Through an integrated MEP/FP approach, SAI delivered a code-compliant, efficient, and coordinated building systems design tailored to the renovation of the existing convenience store and gas station infrastructure.
